Happy, Yet Sad
The last day of July. We are in the fourth of five intensive weeks. Time flies so fast when you have such a busy and interesting schedule every day.
As usual, we had a morning briefing that helped us reminding some important information about the program. Sometimes we have donuts and bagels. Sometimes we don’t. Sugar helps us staying focused!
It’s Haitam’s presentation. Everyday we have the chance to share a successful entrepreneurial case of our countries. With passion he talked about his friend that developed an app (Cofoun) to help entrepreneurs finding partners to work with. What an incredible idea. Doesn’t it?
Dr. Khmelko gave us the last International Relations class. Distributed in groups we discussed a true case study about Zimbabwe and its agricultural issues considering the role of non-governmental organisations in the country’s economic development.
In the afternoon, Tom Griscom - Director of White House Communications under President Ronald Reagan - made a speech about his experience and the importance of technological development in our day-to-day life.
I’ve never thought about considering a funny way to understand the importance of communication between coworkers. But Robert Liddell - Executive Director of UTC Career Services - did it and presented us an interesting game where explicitness was the central piece for success.
If you ask me if I am happy: Yes! I’ve learned so much and these people will always be part of my life. But if you ask me if I am sad: Yes! Just a few days remaining until I’ll leave my friends and go to Portugal again. But these are not sad tears. Inspiring ones.
