About the Study of the U.S. Institutes for Student Leaders from Europe

The Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Student Leaders from Europe are intensive academic programs hosted virtually and concurrently by universities across the United States.  Each Institute has a unique theme guiding its primary academic focus, but all programs integrate leadership development, and volunteerism.

Our goals for these Institutes are to strengthen the knowledge, skills, leadership, and social networks of our undergraduate participants in thematic areas of study; to exemplify the role that each theme has played in the evolution of American society, culture, values, and institutions; to cultivate a profound understanding of contemporary American life; and to enable participants to become instruments of positive change in their home communities.

At the conclusion of the virtual program at each university, participants from all Institutes will connect at a closing virtual conference to create a diverse picture of leadership and the United States.
