Hot Topics on Education

In the morning, we had a first class with two presentations:

- The first presentation talked about the level of success of the educational system in different countries like Australia, Canada, Singapore and others. After this presentation, we debate about whether is it a good thing to decentralize the exams, if the perfect educational system exists or can exist and if we are in favor of making the relationship between universities and industries closer.

- The second presentation talked about the impact of the education quality on the economy and the influence of globalization on higher education.

In the afternoon, we had another class about leadership. First, the teacher presented us multiples theories about leadership and then he explained us the differences between leadership and management. We learned that the first is more focus on goals, encouragement, motivation and the other one is more focus on the tasks, minimizing the risks, assigning tasks. The two are really complementary.

We finished the day by working on the Capstone Project by splitting into 4 teams and starting to work on our ideas.
