Karaoke Diplomacy
Today was another fantastic day. In the morning we worked on our capstone projects. Talk about changing the world one small step at a time!
In the afternoon we then visited the South Carolina State Museum. We got to see exhibits on Native Americans, American Space Technology and Historical pieces of art from the region. We also had the chance to experience a 4D cinema. It was incredible! The lights, sounds and smells created an exhilarating experience. Someone in the group even left out a scream or two.
In the evening, we went to an Ice Cream Social in our dorms but the real event of the night was karaoke. We sang miles out of key and way too loud but it was so much fun. We got to do it with a group of Mexican English teachers who are here too. Everyone was having a good time. Karaoke brings people, who can and can’t sing, together. For better or for worse, I’m not sure.
It’s hard to believe we are in and around half way through our program. I have made incredible friends here and will truly miss them when I have to say goodbye... (I am 100% going to ugly cry).
