SUSI Days: Making the Seconds Count

Once I heard my teacher say that days controlled in seconds are much longer than days controlled in hours. When we manage our time properly and plan our days efficiently, we definitely are able to accomplish our tasks and have time left for other activities.

With SUSI I got the chance to experience that. SUSI days are intensive and full of activities. Sometimes I end up exhausted, however, when I mentally recap my day I feel extremely fulfilled. During a SUSI day, we get academic insight on business from classes, practical insight from entrepreneurial visits as well as recreational activities.

Take today as an example, we had our last class with Dr. Roundy who concluded his amazing lectures underlining the importance of funding for social enterprises and the ways to get it depending on the different mindsets of investors. After lunch, we visited three companies housed in the Business Development Center of Hamilton County and then we had some ice cream after a walk in the green Coolidge Park. When I saw the time, I couldn’t believe it was still 3:00 pm and I understood why making the most of the twenty-four hours we are given is key to making our dreams true.
