Path to Success
Today was a very interesting day regarding the content of the program. After breakfast, we had our second workshop on Tech Innovation and Education, in which we discussed the introduction of the book “Beyond the Skills Gap” by M. T. Hora. Then we did some reading, had lunch and went to visit Northeastern University. Here we learned about their education system, the importance of soft skills and ways to close the skills gap. We went to have some dinner and afterwards we decided to work on our upcoming presentation.
The program Youth, Education and Closing the Skills Gap has a good balance between
education and cultural experiences. I learned a lot about the education system in the USA and what room there is for improvement. Comparing these things with the way it is done in different European countries makes a lot of space for discussion. The group is very diverse and that is also what we need for in the future. People who are diverse, creative and have their own individual specialties. You do not need to attend a prestigious university in order to become successful. As long as you believe in yourself, you will create your own path to success.
