An Unforgettable Day
Another wonderful day has passed! The second day of our program gave us a better overview of what's ahead of us.
The first highlight of the day was FaceTiming with Monika from FHI 360 who gave us ideas to implement during our study experience in the U.S. Monika highlighted the importance of journaling as our personal way of reflection, in order to benefit from SUSI program even years after our participation. We can't wait to meet her in Boston and to see all the wonderful things that SUSI has in store for us!
As our day unraveled and we learned a lot about the history of the U.S., Massachusetts, and Boston and we had a thorough campus tour with a local student, we really started to grasp what Boston and UMASS are really about. What a privilege it is to be part of it! Even dining is special here - the university's food court is exactly as diverse as seen in movies and tonight's alumni dinner made us feel as honor students invited to a secret staff event. Furthermore, we even got to celebrate one of our participant's birthday at dinner, making this day completely unforgettable.
