Football’s Coming Home... in 2022!

Today opened with the die-hard football fans awaking at 7am to watch the World Cup final. Everyone was visibly disappointed at England’s absence from the event —I think I even saw a tear roll down the cheek of our leader, Sandra. Please excuse the tan-lines clearly visible on the guy second from the left. British people aren’t cut out for sunny weather. Congratulations to France anyway, if you look closely the two people in the middle are looking especially smug…

In the afternoon the group visited the Oregon Country Fair, which was a sweaty but nonetheless very enjoyable event. Most people’s stipends took a significant hit after quirky t-shirts and deep-fried ice cream were purchased. There was also some great live music on a number of different stages. If Take Me Home Country Roads by John Denver had been played this might have been the perfect day.
