Just Another 'Manic Monday'

Most people hate Mondays and especially Monday mornings... But we, the student leaders from Europe, really love waking up on Mondays in the happy Chattanooga town. But let's be real. What's better than starting your day and your week, early in the morning, exercising in (my favorite) Arc Center? And later having a delicious American breakfast at Fletcher 110?

Our day continued with the Monday Morning update and some minutes later with Mr. Roundy's lesson on social entrepreneurship. I really liked today's lesson, as we

focused on the way social entrepreneurs can measure their social impact. We created teams of us and we started working on a real business model canvas for our ideas.

At 12:00 we met at our usual parking lot to go to the Edney Center. There, after lunch, we had a great presentation from Ms. Mary Stargel explaining the mission of their organization in cultivating an ecosystem of academia, industry and community to develop and apply innovative solutions to authentic challenges in Chattanooga. Visiting and admiring the Edney's building, we discussed about startups and accelerator processes and it's true we have learned so much interesting things! What's more, we had the opportunity to discuss and after to complete our own CO.STARTERS canvas and then pitch our social entrepreneurship ideas. Indeed it was really useful visiting "The Edney Center" due to all these important information we all gain.

Later, we went to the Library, where we had the opportunity to individually pitch our ideas in

order to create the final groups for the final social entrepreneurship project. Without a doubt, we all had very interesting and quite unique ideas!

So that's was the first day of our week. Great and educative! What a perfect combination. All

these ended perfectly walking back to the dorms in order to cook some food for dinner.
