Mahalo, Kaimana!
A week has already passed, time flies when you’re having fun! Today we all attended a workshop with Kaimana Chee, a chef and training professional. Here we learned about action planning, how to use your passion to solve an issue in your community. We made figurines out of Play-Doh that represented the things that motivates us, and as you can see there were a lot of different answers. Amongst others were family, nature and traveling.
We were then divided into groups based on what motivates us. Within these groups we all presented a need that we observed in our community based on our interests, and then decided on one that we would make a plan for how to solve. We then presented our plan, which not only explained our goal but also included how to manage our stakeholders and potential risks . There were a lot of good ideas, and through this workshop we learned what actions are needed to reach a goal.
In short it was a great and educational workshop where we got some useful tips that we can use for our Capstone projects. Thank you so much for this opportunity, Kaimana!
