American Voices and Human Library
Today, it was for sure full of new experiences for everybody, here in Eugene, Oregon. We began the day by presenting our very first group projects, entitled “American Voices”. Why is it significant? Well, we actually got the occasion to interact with US citizens, due to the fact that we had to make a survey based on different topics.
As soon as we presented our work, Logan, an ambassador student, presented his project about the desalination of the water, and he helped us understand the importance of a better water management process. Afterwards, we had the chance to visit the energy power plant that provides energy and steam for our University. We were able to discover the complexity of the energy production process.
In the evening we were part of a project named “Human Library” where we had the opportunity to interact with Eugene’s citizens. We all had our “book title” and based on that, persons could “borrow” us for a certain amount of time, and we got the chance to tell our stories.
