All Good Things Come to An End
This date marks the end of SUSI 2017 at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. An Institute that from day one taught us valuable knowledge and skills related to our fields of study. We have been taught theory and practice of Social Entrepreneurship as well as challenges of business development not only in an American but also in an international setting. The environment at the campus of University of Tennessee Chattanooga has been the ideal for serving the educational purpose of the programme but also friendly to build through the time relations that will last forever. I am convinced that this could not be achieved without the contribution of all UTC stuff that organized the programme.
The day started with a lecture from the Anthropologist Dr. Zibin Guo on “Leadership and Diversity: Challenge the Culture”. The lecture gave an emphasis on how leadership and management can shape human culture through a period of time. During lunch we had the Farewell Reception with emotional speeches by SUSI 2017 delegates Hela Abdeselam and Lauren Lehane. Finally during Farewell dinner at a restaurant downtown Chattanooga all delegates spend time about our planning our next reunion and had superlatives which made us laugh, adding a humorous tone to the institute’s closure.
