Learning by Doing
Since I was a little girl I always wanted to discover new places and new countries. To be honest I have traveled a lot in Europe but my dream has always been to visit America once in my life. For a lot of Europeans , visiting the United States of America is not so affordable. Being here for my first time and involved in such an amazing project is a dream come true. Sometimes I still don’t believe that is real!
So far, my experience here in Chattanooga has been incredible and exciting. The SUSI 2017 project is full of volunteer activities, interesting lessons and a lot of visits to local companies.
As for the staff of this SUSI adventure, I can only say that we are surrounded by talented and passionate people that inspire us everyday in doing our best.
The American culture is so different from ours but people here are so open minded and always interested about our different cultures and our beautiful countries.
Today we had to present our social venture ideas in front of Dr. Roundy and Mr. Suzuki. Thanks to Dr. Roundy’s interesting lessons and information, we have done an amazing job with our presentations. We have talked about social issues such as the environmental pollution and the integration of the refugees in our society but at the same time we have launched our innovative business product in order to accomplish our social missions. It has been an intensive lesson full of questions and suggestions. We all were involved in this exercise, curious of hearing each others' ideas. Learning by doing is always a good way to improve our knowledge and stimulate our creativity.
Dr. Roundy’s lessons helped us to understand that we can always do something to change the world, we only need a lot of determination and willpower and of course a good knowledge of social entrepreneurship.
