Eternally Grateful

Receiving the honor to participate in this unique international experience is something I will be eternally grateful for. Besides the opportunity to connect with inspiring speakers and professors, I'm grateful for the privilege of meeting amazing people from 18 different countries that we otherwise never would have crossed paths with.

Additionally, I would like to thank the amazing SUSI staff again for making an astonishing schedule. Not only limited to experiencing each interactive and educational activity separately, however, chosen so carefully that every puzzle piece starts falling into place. One example of the thoughtful design of chosen activities, are for instance our social entrepreneurship classes with Dr. Roundy. After gaining sufficient knowledge about the foundations of social entrepreneurship, our learning progress would be reinforced by company visits that showed us how the theory studied in class were implemented into practice. That is why we visited the Company Lab, a nonprofit start up accelerator that supports entrepreneurial growth in Tennessee, following Dr. Roundy classes. This enabled us to bridge the gap between the abstract concepts and the reality.

My biggest takeaway from the past two weeks in Chattanooga is that you are the only obstacle that is standing between you and your hopes, goals, and dreams. Moreover, all these experiences have challenged my self-development, especially in public speaking, critical thinking, and decision-making. I cannot wait to discover all the other challenges and opportunities that are ahead of us!
